Start is an after school program for Latinx students and their parents in North College Park, hosted at College Park United Methodist Church on Tuesdays. Start provides a safe space for elementary students to work with University of Maryland volunteers to focus on the importance of literacy, art, and structured play. This program also provides separate space for parental programs that happen at the same time that focus on community building and the sharing of knowledge.
